Die pH- und Redox Elektroden können mit allen Aqua Medic Messgeräten eingesetzt werden, sind aber auch kompatibel mit anderen Standardmessgeräten mit BNC-Anschluss. Zur regelmäßigen Kontrolle und zur Kalibrierung empfehlen wir die Aqua Medic Kalibrierlösungen für pH-Wert bzw. Redoxpotential. Als Zubehör sind Elektrodenhalter lieferbar, die mehrere Elektroden aufnehmen und an senkrechten oder waagerechten Streben im Aquarium befestigt werden können. Aus der Schutzkappe kann während des Transportes und der Lagerung KCI-Lösung austreten, woraus sich kristallines, weißes Kaliumchlorid bildet. Diese Salzschicht hat keinen Einfluss auf die Messfähigkeit und lässt sich mit Wasser einfach abspülen. Elektroden nur einige Zentimeter ins Messmedium eintauchen. Jede Elektrode altert als Folge der Austauschprozesse an der Glasmembran. pH und mV-Elektroden sind somit Verbrauchsmaterial und unterliegen dem Verschleiß.
